Hello friends, colleagues, and honored guests...

Well, it's been awhile. As they say in the movie, "I'm not dead yet." What's been going on in my life?

#1. God is teaching me about trusing Him & being patient. Philippians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer & petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." My heart is crazy about Dallas, but God (and everyone else) keeps telling me to slow down. Be patient. Trust Him for the future that I cannot see but so desparately long to control. God has a plan & he knows what he is doing.

#2. Growth takes time. God has to do the growing. Yes, there are things that I can do to help growth to occur, but ultimately, that is God's doing.

#3. I'm not any better than anyone else. Jesus' blood was shed for ALL. I am a sinner. Anything good in me is only through God by his grace and mercy. I'm only one beggar telling another beggar where to find bread.

Life is a growing process. Growth takes time and nurturing. Change is inevitable in life. We are creatures of habit. So whenever things begin to change around us, we are stretched. And I don't know about you, but it was easier to stretch 10 years ago than it is now. That's why God keeps working in my stubborn heart. He's pulling out weeds, pruning branches, and rooting me in the soil of his Word, to grow me into something beautiful.
